1.) University Librarian
Job Title: University Librarian
Location: Igbesa, Ogun
Job Details
- The University Librarian is responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the day-to-day administration of the University Library, and all other matters that may be referred to him/her.
- He/she is responsible for the coordination of the Library and Information Services in the University, its Campuses, Colleges, Departments, Institutes and other teaching or research Units.
- The University Librarian is expected to demonstrate awareness of the central nature of Library & Information Services in the teaching, learning and research process and have the ability to instil in members of the University community, the principles of Information and Digital Literacy and commitment to life-long learning.
- Also, he/she must ensure up-to-date subscriptions to e-Journals, e-Books and others, as well as arrange exchange facilities for the University libraries.
- The University seeks suitably qualified candidates with the above stated qualities and with vision, proven academic distinction, managerial ability, integrity and transparency in private and public life.
Qualifications and Experience
- Candidates for the position of the University Librarian must possess a good Honours Degree with a minimum of Second Class Lower Division as well as a Master's degree in Library and Information Science from a recognized University. A Doctorate Degree in a relevant discipline is required.
- The candidate must also have at least fifteen (15) years experience in a University Library, nine (9) of which must have been at Library Management position.
- The candidate must have held positions not below that of Deputy University Librarian for a considerable number of years.
- The candidate must possess experience of automation of Library Services.
- In addition to the academic and professional qualifications, the candidate must possess evidence of membership, and registration with the Librarian Registration Council of Nigeria (LRCN).
- A strong proof of continuing research with appreciable evidence of scholarly publications both in quality and quantum in reputable international and national journals is required.
- The candidate must possess good managerial skills and competences including a clear understanding of the nature and dynamics of the intricacies in deploying information technologies as tools for the management of information collections in line with global best practices in contemporary University Libraries.
- Candidate is expected to exhibit strong team leadership and mentorship skills and able to inspire and motivate colleagues to support the vision for the development of the University Library.
- The candidate must be focused, innovative, commendable in both character and quality of service.
- The candidate must also exhibit a considerable degree of competence, responsiveness, demonstrable integrity and transparency on matters of financial resource management with an outstanding experience at management level.
- Must not be above 60 years of age at the time of appointment.
- Must possess NYSC Discharge Certificate or Evidence of Exemption or Exclusion, as applicable.
Condition of Service
- The appointment shall be for a period of five (5) years with a remuneration package which is comparable to what obtains in Federal, State and Private Universities in Nigeria and, as approved from time to time by the Governing Council of the University.

- The Bursar is the Chief Financial Officer of the University, and is responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the day-to-day administration and control of the financial affairs of the University.
- He/she should be able to provide the University Management with sound advice and support for all the institution's financial transactions, etc.
- The Bursar must exhibit a considerable degree of competence, responsiveness, demonstrable integrity and transparency on matters of financial administration and management.
- In addition, he/she must demonstrate the ability to relate effectively with financial stakeholders and should be able to command the respect and loyalty of staff and students of the University.
- In view of the enormous responsibilities of the Bursar, the University seeks applications from suitably-qualified candidates with vision, proven academic distinction, managerial ability, integrity and transparency in private and public life.
Qualification and Experience
- The candidate must possess a good Honours Degree with a minimum of Second Class Lower Division in Accounting from a recognized University.
- Possession of a higher degree(s) is required.
- Must be a chartered Accountant, in addition to being a qualified member of other professional bodies such as ACCA, ANAN, CIMA.
- Fellow of the relevant professional bod(ies) will be an added advantage.
- The candidate must have a minimum of fifteen (15) years cognate experience, nine (9) of which must have been in a senior position in the University.
- Must have attained the rank of a Deputy Bursar or its equivalent, for a good number of years in a University.
- Must not be above 60 years of age at the time of appointment.
- The candidate must be computer-literate with a working knowledge of relevant accounting packages.

- The Registrar is the Chief Administrative Officer of the University and by implication, a Principal Officer.
- He/she is responsible to the Vice Chancellor for the day-to-day administrative work of the University except as regards financial matters.
- By virtue of that Office, the Registrar is the Secretary to the Governing Council, Senate, Congregation, Convocation and other statutory bodies defined by the enabling laws of the University.
- In the light of the enormous responsibilities of the Registrar, the University seeks applications from candidates with vision, proven academic distinction, managerial ability, integrity and transparency in private and public life.
Qualifications and Experience
- The candidate must possess a good Honours Degree with a minimum of Second Class Lower Division and a Master's Degree in relevant discipline from a recognized University, with at least 15 years of cognate experience in university administration.

4.) Vice-Chancellor

Eligibility
- The post of Vice-Chancellor of Crawford University is expected to be filled by an outstanding scholar who is locally-respected and internationally-renowned and who as Chairman of Senate and Congregation, will pilot the University to greater academic heights.
Specifically, the candidate must meet the following minimum requirements:
- A full Professor of at least ten (10) years' post-qualification experience with outstanding academic credentials.
- Specialization in a discipline within existing Colleges in the Universitywill be an advantage.
- Should possess considerable managerial and leadership experience within the university system and show demonstrable ability to attract funds to the University.
- Proficiency in the use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) packages for administration, teaching and research.
- A team player who is honest and with proven integrity, high moral standard, impeccable character and with irrevocable commitment to best practices in corporate governance, including accountability, transparency and probity.
- Ability to work effectively with other Principal Officers of the University who statutorily and regularly reportto him/her.
- Should be able to motivate staffand students towards the achievement of the Vision and Mission of the University.
- Ability to promote linkages with external bodies (local and international).
- Should be in good physical and mental heaith condition.
- Be competent at all times to advise the Board of Trustees and Governing Council on matters affecting the policy, finance and administration of the University.
- Maintain a high degree of self-discipline and be capable of maintainingstaff and students' discipline in the University.
