1.) Administrative and Support Services Assistant
Duties and Responsibilities
The Administrative and Support Services Assistant, under the supervision of the Project Supervisor and the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly, will work closely with the UNDP team to do the following:
• Maintain project staff records according to policy and legal requirements;
• Ensure all project staff are aware of their duty of care responsibilities relating to children, young people and vulnerable adults;

• Ensure professional and productive work environments for the project implementation team;
• Support the Project Supervisor to ensure the smooth running of the project, including office administration and compliance with all UNDP systems and processes;
• Ensure all legal registrations and other requirements are in place for the project office;
• Responsible for facility, maintenance and Health & Safety (H&S) issues, liaising with building management or third-party providers when necessary;
• Account and manage all third party office suppliers, such as cleaners to ensure a consistent level of service in line with applicable legislation;
• Coordinate and support project staff’s community visit arrangements;
• Keep records of all visits to the office by community members;
• Keep customer request data on toilet construction;
• Support staff with logistics for internal and external events where necessary, such as arranging venues or catering for workshops;
• Ensure provision of office supplies and services including stationaries, internet services, etc; and
• Ensure regular maintenance of project vehicle.
Institutional Arrangement:
The Administrative and Support Services Assistant will report to the Project Supervisor, Kumasi Global Mayors Challenge.
Qualification Required & Experience
Min. Education Requirements:
• Completion of High School Diploma is required;
• Bachelor’s Degree in human resources, finance, administration and related areas is an asset.
Min. years of relevant work experience:
• A minimum of five (5) years with High School Diploma and two (2) years with Bachelor’s Degree of relevant work experience in administrative work and office support functions is required.
Required skills:
• Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.) is required.
Desired skills in addition to the competencies covered in the Competencies Section:
• Excellent planning and time management skills, able to work well under pressure and prioritize a challenging workload, is desirable.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills (written, verbal, interpersonal and intercultural), is an asset.
• Experience in capacity building, advocacy and knowledge management is an asset.
• Knowledge and experience of UN procurement and contracting procedures is an asset.
• Working with local and regional governments experience will be an asset.
Required Language/s:
• Proficiency in the English language is required.
• Working knowledge of Twi and/or Hausa dialects is an added advantage.

2.) Behavioral Change Communication Officer
Duties and Responsibilities
The Behavioural Change and Communications Officer, under the supervision of the Project Supervisor, Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly and in close cooperation with UNDP team will do the following:
• Develop behavioural change communication plans and Behavioural Change and Communications performance monitoring plans for the project implementation;
• Lead all community campaign events including durbars, mini-durbars, interpersonal house -to - house campaigns, community information centre and information van campaigns;
• Ensure project compliance with all community norms and practices;
• Develop criteria and checklist for the recruitment of Toilet campaign champions;
• Provide inputs for the development of Behavioural Change and Communications materials for toilet campaign champions;
• Lead the training of toilet campaign champions;
• Engage community leadership including traditional authorities, religious leaders, local elected officials and opinion leaders, youth and women groups within the community for project take off;
• Develop the sales and marketing campaign for household toilet in the community;
• Create platforms for Toilet Campaign champions to introduce toilet and toilet finance products to communities through interpersonal engagements;
• Set sales targets for Toilet Campaign Champions;
• Create effective linkages between Toilet Campaign Champions and Project artisans to be able to effectively connect demand to supply of household toilet construction; and
• Prepare periodic reports on Behavioural Change and Communications, demand creation and toilet sales.
Institutional Arrangement:
The Behavioural Change and Communications Officer will be reporting to the Project Supervisor, and working closely with the project’s financial institution partner, KMA and the technical team at UNDP Office in Ghana.
Qualification Required & Experience
Min. Education Requirements:
• Master’s Degree in Public Health, Social Sciences or any related field, or a
• Bachelor’s Degree in Public health, Social Sciences or related field with two (2) years of relevant work experience, is required.
Min. years of relevant work experience:
• A minimum of two (2) years with Bachelor's Degree of relevant work experience in projects related to behavioral practices on urban issues, is required.
Required skills:
• Experience working in sanitation projects in Kumasi or other municipalities in Ghana is required.
• Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.) is required.
Desired skills in addition to the competencies covered in the Competencies Section:
• Experience in capacity building, advocacy and knowledge management is an asset.
• Experience working on projects related to the local implementation of Agenda 2030 is an asset.
• Proven professional experience focusing on client management and working with a diverse team will be an asset.
• Knowledge and experience of UN procurement and contracting procedures is an asset.
Required Language/s:
• Proficiency in the English language is required.
• Working knowledge of Twi and/or Hausa dialects is an added advantage.

3.) Quality Assurance Officer
Duties and Responsibilities
The Quality Assurance Officer, under the supervision of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly, will work with the UNDP technical team to perform the following:
• Coordinate the planning construction schedules with local artisans in the change of toilet construction;
• Arrange and maintain an updated registry of youth artisans receiving training;
• Compile detail information of all households who have been approved for toilet construction;
• Develop quality assurance protocols and quality assurance checklist for household toilet construction;
• Provide guidance to artisans on the completion of quality assurance checklists;
• Schedule quality assurance inspection visits with artisans and households;
• Ensure artisans observe all safety procedures during construction;
• Recommend changes, modifications to toilet constructions that do no meet quality assurance requirements;
• Approval of quality assurance standards for completed toilets for final payment to artisans;
• Prepare monthly quality assurance report on toilet constructions for the Project Supervisor.
Institutional Arrangement:
• The Quality Assurance Officer will be reporting to the Project Supervisor and working closely with the project’s financial institution, the KMA and the technical team at UNDP Office in Ghana.

• Master’s degree in Environmental Sanitation Engineering, Civil Engineering or related field, or a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Sanitation Engineering, Civil Engineering or related field with two (2) years of relevant work experience, is required.
Min. years of relevant work experience:
• A minimum of two (2) years with Bachelor’s Degree of relevant work experience in sanitation related projects is required.
Required skills:
• Experience working in sanitation projects in Kumasi or other municipalities in Ghana is required.
• Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.) is required.
Desired skills in addition to the competencies covered in the Competencies Section:
• Experience in capacity building, advocacy and knowledge management is an asset.
