About This Role:
To produce, coordinate, deliver and follow up training in all Health and Safety (HSE) applications for all Newmont staff throughout Ghana.
To certify that all Newmont Ghana personnel are equipped with the skills and knowledge to carry out their duties effectively regarding health and safety.
In This Role You Will:
Information Management and Management Reporting
Conduct post-training evaluations and trainee evaluations, by developing reports to forward to the superintendent for review and approval prior to sending to clients.
Input Enterprise Learning Solution (LSO) data into SAP.
Pull reports and transcripts required from SAP.
File all training results and attendance sheets securely.
Consult internally regarding provision of safety advice and safety alignment.

Plant Management
Manage sectional activities of the plant.
Develop standard operating procedures and revise as needed.
Conduct investigations into events, in conjunction with accidental investigation teams, distil learnings and include in training.
Pre-hire Assessments and Onboarding
Support in the onboarding and new hire screening process.
Develop test items and conduct pre-screening of candidates.
Needs Analysis and Research
Consult with clients to identify training needs.
Conduct extensive research, both new and existing.
Review existing programs’ content and adjust where necessary.
Training
Plan and develop training schedules.
Develop training programs and training material to meet needs, including content, multimedia and assessments.
Develop assessment components, comprised of theory and practical elements for technical trainings.
Develop training guidelines for the junior trainers.
Support apprentice training in conjunction with apprentices.
Develop the training matrix by populating roles and examining competencies required; if any gaps are identified, place employees on further training programs.
Conduct technical hazard specific training.
Conduct training for owner representative and contractor representatives.
Conduct Planned Task Observations (PTO) to monitor consistency with trainings.
Your Training, Skills & Experience Checklist:
Formal Qualification (including Professional Registrations):
Bachelors’ degree in Engineering or Sciences.
Postgraduate in Health and Safety added advantage.
City and Guilds accredited workplace certification.
NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) in Occupational Health and Safety.
Minerals Commission (MINCOM) HSE Officer certification.
Additional Knowledge:
Possess knowledge of competency-based curriculum.
Experience:
A minimum of four (4) to six (6) years’ generalised experience and previous facilitation experience.
A minimum two (2) to three (3) years’ coordinating / supervisory experience.
Technical Skills:
Sound analytical and problem-solving skills.
Advanced communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in English and Twi language.
Sound project management skills.
Sound team leadership, negotiation and presentation skills.

2.) Senior Process Operations Trainer
About This Role:
To manage process operations and plant specific training programs and activities.
To conduct induction training for new employees, contractors and daily hire staff, in accordance with approved curriculum, relevant regulations and best practices.
To manage Process Local-Local Apprentice training programs.
In This Role You Will:
Information Management and Management Reporting
Manage the process department and other business partners.
Prepare monthly training schedules and report to the manager and clients.
Send training and assessment reports on the training results to the client.
Upload assessments results onto SAP.
Scan and store a copy of the attendance sheet electronically and file hard copies of the assessment tool and attendance sheet.
Performance Management
Review the performance of trainers reporting to the position.
Planning
Draw up the monthly plan to assign the trainees to the training date verifying that reminders are given until the day of the training.
Staff Supervision
Assign daily activity to trainers who report directly to him/her.
Coach, develop and supervise employees reporting to him/her.
Training
Manage process operations training.
Compile the training pack (training session plan and registration of the training).
Review training materials.
Prepare the presentation slides, assessment tools, attendance and evaluation forms.
Book the training room for the training checking all needed training logistics are in place.
Facilitate the training and mark the assessments.
Conduct induction training and practical sessions of trainings that require practicals.
Conduct practical assessments and Newmont Standard Task Procedure (STP) assessment for specific tasks.

3.) HR Service Center Data Management Representative
About This Role:
To inform Human Resource/payroll data by confirming data integrity, testing of system changes, system upgrades and other technical projects as assigned to guarantee correct data within the company. This role will manage data of over 5000 third party workers including those to be hired for ongoing project.
In This Role You Will:
Third Party Worker Data Management
Complete all approved third-party worker onboarding tickets within a specified SLA
Monitor and complete third-party updates such as manager, department and location changes
Compile list of third-party workers to be terminated through a mass program every month
Prepare variety of reports for team leaders and managers on third party workers
Perform special projects as directed by manager.
Support Absence/Timesheet Management
Ensure data integrity of employee absences (sick, annual, bereavement, paternity, maternity leaves etc.) prior to payroll.
Provide employee absence report as needed.
Support entry of timesheet data for payroll processing.
Ensure resolution as quickly as possible, particularly in the instance of lost wages.
System Implementation/Enhancement
Participate in the successful functional implementation of, and updates to, a variety of HR technologies including but not limited to SAP systems.
Recommend and evaluate improvements to company processes.
Contribute to the successful implementation of system enabled processes.
Highlight/Identify gaps in existing functionality and solve complex problems in HR Business applications.
Maintain a working knowledge of software applications, HR issues and processes so that information is efficiently and easily gathered with a high degree of accuracy with emphasis on continuous improvement.

Formal Qualification (including Professional Registrations):
A minimum of Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts in Business, Human Resources, Computer Science, Mathematics or related technical field.
Experience:
Minimum of 2 – 4 years’ working experience in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system (Systems Applications and Products, Success Factors, Kronos).
Experience in business or operations process, analysis, design and business case development.
