1.) Psychologist Consultancy Firms Required

 

The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH invites qualified consultancy firms to express their interest for the above consultancy work.




The scope of works includes:

In 2018, GIZ introduced a standard module for the evaluation of leadership competencies to standardise the procedures within an assessment centre for the first leadership level, which is Band 5). Band 5’s has leadership responsibility for technical, administrative and support staff without leadership responsibility. For the last 3 years this procedure has been in implemented in Ghana and has proven to be successful.

To guarantee quality and professionalism, as well as a benchmarking between the candidates in this assessment, GIZ Country Office makes use of the diagnostic expertise of an experienced company with selected psychologists to conduct the Band 5 Leadership assessment.

Secondly GIZ Ghana is also looking to improve and support the wellbeing of its employees to ensure a motivated and healthy workforce especially not only in the COVID19 season. One of the ways is to provide support using the services of a company who can provide the services of different specialists in diverse areas such as leadership counselling, leadership coaching, nutrition, health prevention, personal development, judicial advice etc.

The focus areas of the Consultancy Services Required:

• Band 5 Assessment
• Leadership Training, Coaching and Mentoring
• Psychosocial Interventions

The Psychologist Company is responsible for providing the following services:

• Liaise with the HR Unit with regards to all Band 5 Assessments
• Provide Leadership Training, Coaching and Mentoring for Band 5 Leadership staff who have passed onto the Band 5 managerial and Leadership upscaling
• Band 5 Managers upward feedback
• Provide support for other managers within GIZ Ghana on addressing work place issues.
• Provide Psychosocial interventions such as the below:

2.) Junior Administrative Officer

 

Project Brief

• On behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), the programme Sustainable Economic Growth, training and Employment provides support in seven focal areas: business development, private investment, skills an employability enhancement, financial services, digital innovation, migration, and trade.

Scope of the Role

• The junior administrative officer is primarily responsible for providing basic administrative and technical support to the cluster Coordinator and working in close collaboration with the cluster team towards the achievement of cluster goals.

Tasks

• Manage the calendar of the Cluster Coordinator
• Organize conferences, workshops, trainings for the cluster including provision of logistics, preparation of the agenda, documents, and presentations, as well as writing of minutes.
• Coordinate domestic and international travel, including flight booking as well as reimbursables for all travel related expenses. Etc, for the Cluster Coordinator.
• Prepare the documentation for contracts, services and/or purchases.
• Participate in the planning, execution and documentation of meetings, workshops, seminars and other events held within the framework of the project.
• Organize and update archives and documentation in compliance of GIZ knowledge management, manage, check and update the inventory of project office.
• Perform other duties and tasks at the request of the Cluster Coordinator.

Qualification Required & Experience

• University degree in BA/BSc administration, social science or similar area
• Minimum of one (1) to two (2) years of relevant professional experience.
• Very good working knowledge of ITC technologies (related software, phone, email, the internet) and computer applications
(e.g. MS office)
• good organisational Strong organizational and writing skills.
• Experience in office management and administrative tasks
• Good interpersonal, management and communication skills
• Strong command of English language (both written and oral) is required; knowledge of German language is an asset.
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
• Rendering result orientated performance
• Willingness to upskill as required by the tasks to be performed – corresponding measures are agreed with management.

3.) Advisor (Resource Governance)

 

Project Brief

• The “Governance for Inclusive Development” (GovID) programme supports the implementation at both the local and the national level.
• In order to achieve this, the programme implements measures in five areas of intervention and amongst them is the strengthening of accountability mechanisms for budgetary implementation. Under this is the Accountability Component which focuses on internal audit processes and accountability at both national and subnational level.

Scope of the Role

• Responsible for implementing work plan related to Extractive industries stakeholders in Ghana. This will involve improving transparency, enhancing accountability of institutions, and capacity support at all levels to achieve transparency and accountability of companies and institutions involved in the
extractive sector.

Tasks

• Development of concepts, and monitors the implementation of project/ programme plans and activities in close consultation with other advisors, management and partners
• Give technical advice to PIAC, GAS, GHEITI and support in training in the area of revenue generation, revenue management and contracting in the field of extractive industries
• Prepare, implement and document training events, workshops, forums, team meetings and other project activities
• Develop and maintain contact with relevant stakeholders in the extractive sector
• Work on effective mechanisms to build public awareness on core processes and reports by PIAC, GAS and GHEITI ensure they are documented.
• Participate in meetings, seminars and workshops etc.
• Perform other duties and tasks at the request of management

Qualification Required & Experience

• Masters/MSc Degree in area related to Resource Governance.
• Knowledge of and/or experience dealing with fiscal governance and extractive industries, including fiscal regimes and contractual arrangements
between companies and Government agencies
• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work in a multicultural environment.
• At least three (3) years professional experience
• Working experience with GIZ, similar development organizations and local government actors
• Ability to perform a variety of specialized tasks related to design, planning and implementation of programme, managing data, reporting;
• Motivated team player with an organized, independent, systematic, proactive, detail- and goal-oriented work approach. Ability to quickly grasp
complex issues
• Ability to express yourself well both verbally and in writing;
• Excellent knowledge of the English language
