The Law Reform Commission is recruiting to fill the following positions:

1.) Security Guard
2.) Senior Driver
3.) Assistant Library Manager

1.) Security Guard
JOB PURPOSE:

To provide security protection for the Commission, and officials within the Commission's premises.

CORE DUTIES:

• Ensure the implementation of security policies of the Commission
• Ensure that staff are safe
• Protect and safeguard all Commission's properties
• Keep record of movements of persons within the Commission
• Control access to the office and protecting employees and guests
• Patrol areas and performing security checks
• Provide information to management on security issues involving staff and properties of the Commission
• Perform any other duties that may be assigned by management

Qualification Required & Experience

• A minimum of SSSCE/WASSCE/NVTI or its equivalent
• A minimum of two (2) years post qualification relevant work experience in a reputable institution.

2.) Senior Driver
Job Title: Senior Driver

JOB PURPOSE:

• To provide secure and timely driving services to transport Staff, materials or equipment to areas where they are required.

CORE DUTIES:

• Keep track of general maintenance schedules
• Ensure sound running of vehicle assigned and arrange minor repairs where necessary
• Register the movement of vehicles in the logbook
• Any other duties that may be assigned by Management

Qualification Required & Experience

• A minimum of WASSCE/SSSCE Certificate,NVTI or its equivalent
• A valid driving licence not below 'D' class with a minimum of eight (8) years accident-free driving experience
• A professional level qualification or industry Skill-bases Certification in auto-mechanics
• A Certificate from an accredited driving institute.

3.) Assistant Library Manager

Job Title: Assistant Library Manager

JOB PURPOSE:

• The Assistant Library Manager (ALM) is primarily responsible for providing local, foreign and international reference and research service to the Commission.
• The ALM also assists the Legal Directorate on the development of projects with the acquisition of legal materials.

CORE DUTIES:

• Direct users to requested publications; assists users with both print and electronic resources
• Provide instruction and guidance for users of library catalog, legal databases, legal research methodology and procedures
• Response to in-library phone , mail, e-mail and live chat reference questions
• Develop and maintain path finders ,bibliographic resource and research guides
• Collect inputs for the preparation of annual budget for the library
• Catalogue and classify print, audio - visual and electronic resources
• Ensure that the provisions of the library meets the needs of the Commission
• Any other duties that may be assigned by Management

Qualification Required & Experience

• A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Library, Information Studies or any relevant field from an accredited tertiary institution
• Must have completed National Service
