1.) Asset Care Technician
Purpose of the role
- Work safely within the Operations team
- Provide maintenance and continuous improvement skills to deliver and improve on safety, quality, delivery, productivity, cost and asset care.
- Effective use of maintenance systems data
- Observe and ensure compliance to safe systems of work
- Completion of Preventative maintenance activities
- Deliver and improve performance targets in safety, quality, service, cost and asset care.

Accountabilities
- At all times adhere to Diageo health and safety, environmental and food safety standards, and work to all applicable legislative procedures. Responsible for Safe Systems of work.
- Maintain a safe and organised workplace environment through adherence to the Safety and 5S MMS practices
- Provide Asset Care Technician resource (electrical and mechanical) to the Operations team
- Accountable to ensure all assigned Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules are carried out at the defined frequency and completed to the required standard.
- Coach operators to perform autonomous maintenance tasks, machine set ups optimisation and support growth in equipment capability as required.
- Support capital work, including installation, commissioning and testing within area as required. Responsible for feeding into early equipment management.
- Make full use of SAP – SAP reporting & recording completion.
- Review RCM activity on a weekly basis
- Understands and uses MMS principles tools and techniques, contributing positively to MMS ITFs
- Manage personal data in Workday e.g. P4G and personal details (specific responsibilities to be clarified)
- Attend and contribute to SIC process. Complete short interval control documentation on activities.
- Raise 5 why’s as defined by agreed trigger points. Work with Operators and team leaders to play a proactive role in situational problem solving on shift. Fixing problems and finding solutions via RCPS
- Participate in line improvement projects, a skills & experience allow
- Engage in start of shift meetings and performance-based team meetings to raise and address persistent performance issues.
- Participates in weekly asset care review meetings
- Anticipate issues and be more proactive in approach
- Support TLS & Operators to build asset care and RCPS capability
- Attend all Tier 1 meetings, contribute to the agenda and complete actions as required
Entry level requirements – skills and experience
Qualifications
- Must have completed a recognised apprenticeship or gained an electrical Higher National Certificate level qualification or equivalent within an FMCG industry
Experience – Essential
- Numerical/verbal reasoning, Computer literate
- Understanding of Asset Performance and maintenance philosophy with excellent Process Improvement and root cause problem solving skills
- Multiskilled or willing to become
- Ability to work autonomously
- Ability to work in a team and be an effective team member, good communication skills
- Has strength of character to challenge poor team behaviours and non-adherence to standards
- Surfaces problems, doesn’t hide them
- Is an ambassador for Manufacturing Excellence and continuous improvement
- Responds to change in a positive and flexible manner
Desirable
- Knowledge of risk standards (Quality / H&S / Environment) Safety and hygiene compliance procedures
- Working knowledge of SAP, Harford
Excellence in Supply Chain
- Attend all Tier 1 meetings, contribute to the agenda and complete actions as required

2.) Packaging Asset Care Planner
Purpose of the role
- Work at T1 & T2 level to effectively manage Work Planning & Control business process
- Effectively manage and optimise internal and external maintenance resources, time, and material.
- Interpret and analyse data and action to improve asset care practice and performance
- Coach and engage operational teams across business areas of responsibility in order that Asset Care is prioritised and owned by Operations
- Ensure Work planning and scheduling key performance indicators are managed and communicated, and improvement actions agreed.
Key Accountabilities
- Ensure adherence to Health & Safety, Environmental & Quality Standards.
- Ensure compliance to maintenance regulatory standards within the area.
- Work with Maintenance Leaders and Craft teams to identify areas of plant under performance and support improvement plans
- Responsible for management of SAP data integrity with respect to plant and equipment structures, maintenance plans, task lists and work orders for business area(s) of responsibility in accordance with Diageo Work Planning and Scheduling standards
- Work with Asset Care Leaders and Asset Care Technicians to ensure work requests undergo adequate technical assessment and planning prior to scheduling work
- Engage and coach stores teams to support effective and efficient planning through use of job kitting in accordance with Diageo Work Planning and Scheduling standards
- Support & energise deployment of the MMS Asset Care strategy and practice at business area(s) of responsibility with Equipment Owners, Asset Care Technicians and operators
- Lead weekly Asset Care integrated planning meeting providing scheduled maintenance requirements, performance reporting and agree improvement actions with stakeholders
- Support Daily Operational Review meetings to report Asset Care performance and support actions to improve compliance and performance.
- Action any non-completion of scheduled work to prioritise and reschedule
- Continuously follow leader standard work and ensure weekly maintenance schedules optimise use of resource time and materials
- Continuously drive for the next level of performance. Be bold on action planning and delivery
- Develop team morale, recognise great performance and take timely action to address under performance where necessary
- Have appropriate behavioural safety conversations – comfortable challenging each other and visitors
- Demonstrate self-awareness and own development plan
- Commit to grow own capability and experience to the benefit of self, your team and Diageo.
- Prepare and complete own P4G documentation. Be receptive to feedback and willing to learn from mistakes
Entry level requirements – skills and experience
Qualifications
- Bachelors/1st Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
Essential
- Experienced in data analysis, use of applications (excel, word, etc.) and business systems (SAP, Harford, etc.)
- Experienced in a manufacturing /maintenance environment, good communication skills both written and verbal, root cause problems solving skills
Desirable
- Working knowledge of SAP, Harford
