1.) Driver (Female)

 

Project Brief

• A key element of national development agenda of Ghana is creating new and better jobs for a growing young generation. The intervention
of areas of the Sustainable Economic Development in Ghana (PSED) program: Support to the reform in the Technical Vocational Training
sector (TVET), Financial System Development (FSD), implementation of Migration and Employment Promotion (MEP) and support for digitization (DIGIT) contribute to this endeavor by improving the conditions for creation of decent and productive employment.

Scope of the Role

• As a driver, you will be responsible for safely performing all official travel using official vehicles and regularly servicing and taking good care of official vehicles

Your Tasks

• Provides passenger transport and run errands in an official car for office, project or programme staff, official visitors and
guests.
• Helps with transporting goods.
• Completes the vehicle and maintenance log correctly and conscientiously in accordance with GIZ standards.
• Ensures the interior and exterior of the vehicle(s) is always clean.
• Reports need for service and carries out minor repairs.
• Immediately reports all involvement of the project or office vehicle in accidents, including minor accidents, damage, loss or theft of vehicle fittings.
• Assists other colleagues as needed in the project, programme or office if there is no travel or chauffeur service pending, carries
out other office work on request.






Qualification Required & Experience

• Secondary school education
• Holds a valid driver’s licence D.
• At least 1-3 years’ work experience as a driver with references
• 2-3 years’ professional experience in a comparative role
• No major accidents in the past 3 years
• Good knowledge of the English language
• Familiarity with Ghana and the districts and regional capitals
• Appropriate appearance and attire (possibly uniform, friendly manner with all passengers)
• Always ensures unrestricted availability of vehicles and reports restrictions immediately.
• Willingness to upskill as required by the tasks to be performed – corresponding measures are agreed with management.

2.) Technical Advisor (Ghana Heart Initiative)

 

Project Brief

• The Ghana Heart Initiative aims at improving the prevention, diagnosis, and management of cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) at tertiary, secondary and primary levels of care in Ghana.
• Implemented in close cooperation with the Ghanaian Ministry of Health and Ghana Health Service since 2018, the GHI seeks to sustainably improve treatment standards, capacity of health professionals as well as data management on CVDs.
• Following a successful 2-year pilot in Greater Accra region, the GHI has begun a rollout into ten (10) additional regions of Ghana until the end of 2023

Scope of the Role

• The Technical Advisor M&E is responsible for implementing daily operational aspects of monitoring; supporting data collection, analyzing data, summarizing results and reporting same to project team; quality assurance and improvement of all data related aspects of the project; as well as maintaining a good flow of communication and information between all involved partners, institutions and GIZ as related to databased monitoring

Your Tasks

• Update the M&E framework of the project on a regular basis, including indicators based on the data analysed and activities
implemented and shares the findings with the team to ensure timely implementation of the project
• Support the development and revision of data collection procedures and measurement tools, analyse all collected data and provide timely
reports on findings to team, partners and other relevant stakeholders as necessary.
• Prepare presentations based on the collected data and findings as required Support the collection of data at the health facility level related to the project and provides technical assistance to the health information officers to improve the data collection process and usage of data
• Review the quality of data collection tools, data collection methods, existing data and other aspects of M&E and provides necessary
suggestions for improvement
• Support the development and/or finalization of project operational plans and ensure timely updates based on activities completed. Support
progress reporting activities including reviews and evaluation
• Develop and maintain contact with all important stakeholders and management teams working on DHIMS-2

Qualification Required & Experience

• University degree (minimum first degree) in Statistics, Economics, International development.
• At least three (3) years’ professional experience in an M&E position implementing M&E systems related to international development
• Good working knowledge of ITC technologies and computer applications (e.g. Microsoft Office programmes especially excel).
• Good working knowledge of statistical packages such as SPSS or STATA and other digital tools.
• Strong analytical skills and demonstrated knowledge in quantitative and qualitative data analyses methods producing structured reports from datasets.
• Experience in managing M&E systems of projects from initiation to closeout including design, implementation, and operation.
• Experience with working in multicultural and multisectoral environments, with good interpersonal skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English language.
• Willingness to upskill as required by the tasks to be performed

3.) Procurement Officer

• The Procurement officer provides support in ensuring that procurement regulations are complied with GIZ PuR and local legislation of Ghana

Your Tasks

• Purchasing materials and equipment for the NIED cluster assisted projects/programmes in accordance with GIZ rules and conditions
• Coordinating effectively with colleagues in the administrative division of CO and with procurement officers at head office
• Accepts goods, inspects delivery, and ensures that the receipt is
documented, and goods received checked appropriately
• Contacts suppliers of defective goods delivered and arranges necessary follow-ups
• Checks goods invoices, goods inwards receipts and delivery notes and payment instruction
• Establishes contracts and issues invitations to tender in accordance with GIZ PuR
• Regular update on project contracts to project team members
• Organises adequate filing system in accordance with the DMS structure and files documents properly for easy retrieval
• Reservation of hotel and domestic flight bookings

Qualification Required & Experience

• BA in business administration, recognised degree in business administration, Procurement and Logistic or in Finance
• At least 3 years’ professional experience in a comparable position
• excellent knowledge of procurement procedures
• Very good working knowledge of ICT technologies (related software, phone, fax, email, the internet) and computer applications (e.g. MS
Office)
• Very good knowledge of the English language, a knowledge of German is an add advantage
• Very good communication skills and negotiation skills
• Willingness to update skills as required by the tasks to be performed

4.) Junior Technical Advisor

 

Project Brief

• The Alliance for Integrity is a global, business-driven, multistakeholder initiative seeking to promote transparency and integrity in the economic system. To achieve this goal, it fosters collective action of all relevant actors from the private sector, the public sector and civil society. The hub in Ghana offers practical solutions to strengthen the compliance capacities of companies and their supply chains in Ghana and Nigeria.

Scope of the role:

• The Junior Technical Advisor coordinates project activities and financial and administrative tasks. He/she assists the Network Manager and the Regional Manager and collaborates with other team members if requested in carrying out specific project related tasks required for planning, implementation, knowledge management and communication.

Your Tasks

• Support in the planning of annual activities and corresponding budget projections.
• Organise conferences, workshops, events, trainings, and meetings, including the preparation of the agenda, documents, and presentations as well as writing of minutes.
• Document project activities for knowledge pooling, monitoring & evaluation and dissemination Support in the preparation of input for various project updates for both external and internal stakeholders Support in writing and coordinating the submission of articles for the website and posts for the social media channels
• (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter) reporting on activities related to Ghana and Nigeria
• Support the development and implementation of digital tools established for/by Alliance for Integrity
• Prepare documentation for contracts (including ToRs), services and purchases, coordinate purchase of equipment, supplies and materials, manage the project inventory

Qualification Required & Experience

• First degree in Law, Economics or related fields
• Degree in an area related to the project objectives is an asset (Supply Chain Management, Compliance, Responsible Business Conduct, etc.)
• Experience of project management (planning, implementation and reporting)
• Motivated team player with an organized, independent, systematic, proactive, detail- and goal-oriented work approach
• Experience in administrative tasks
• Strong organisational and writing skills
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong command of English Language (both written and oral);
• knowledge of German is an asset
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure

5.) Technical Advisor (SI Jobs)

 

Project Brief

• Invest for Jobs, an initiative of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) offers comprehensive advice, contacts and financial support to create a favorable business ecosystem, overcome investment barriers, improve working conditions and create jobs.

Scope of the Role:

• In close cooperation with the Global Project, the German Chamber of Commerce in Ghana, the Head of Business & Invest and the Team Business & Invest, the Technical Advisor will contribute to the implementation of the ICT and Construction project portfolio as well as support in the development of new projects in various sectors

Your Tasks

• Responsible for working closely with the Head of the Business and Invest and the Global Project in Germany to acquire, plan, set up and
implement new partnership projects with the Private Sector.
• Responsible for identifying new project opportunities and ensure the successful implementation of ongoing projects per GIZ’s processes
and regulations.
• Responsible for the quality assurance of ongoing projects within the fields of technology and construction.
• Responsible for working mainly with German and European CEOs and Managers in Ghana as well as actors such as GIPC, AGI, AHK and other employer groups to ensure the successful implementation of the Special Initiative.
• Prepare reports and presentation documents, including monitoring & evaluation, success stories and best practice examples.
• Prepare appropriate input for various programme reports including annual reports and contributes to the other reports that may be
required of you.
• Coordinate project activities/interventions at local level in consultation with the manager and in cooperation with the partners
regarding implementation.

Qualification Required & Experience

• University degree in an area that is related to the project objectives, with a focus on a relevant field (equivalent to BA or MBA)
• At least 3 years’ professional experience in a comparable position Professional experience in planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and reporting
• Very good working knowledge of ICT technologies (software, phone, email) and MS Office.
• Diligent, goal oriented, open minded and innovative, team player and ability to perform task without supervision.
• Proficient in spoken and written English; a working knowledge of German is an asset.
• Strong interpersonal skills, work experience in an intercultural environment is an asset.
• Strong communication skills, ability to engage stakeholders and facilitate networking.
