Don Bosco Technical Institute is looking for instructors for the following Sub-Domains.

• Cooking and Baking
• Home and Building Automation

Don Bosco Technical Institute, Ashaiman is a non- profit making Christian Institution, established to serve the young people according to the rules of the Catholic Church and the spirit of St. John Bosco. It is managed by Salesians of Don Bosco according to an agreement with the Catholic Archdiocese of Accra. The centre provides employment-linked, market-oriented vocational training of short duration to the economically and socially marginalized youth. A social initiative by the Salesians of Don Bosco, it addresses the issues of unemployment and lack of skilled manpower with a market-based approach that is sensitive to the socio-economic needs of marginalized youth. The aims/objectives of the institution is to provide the youth in Ghana and beyond with religious and moral formation, together with a solid technical training in various sectors, so as to enable them to enter job market as skilled technicians or to be employed/self- employed with the aim of making them self-reliant. The training consists of hands on training and other employable skills that are required to be employed/self- employed.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Should be able to assist in developing modular course curricular
• Teach class according to course curriculum.
• Provide personal and professional guidance to students when needed.
• Develop creative instructional methods to engage students in learning process.
• Develop daily lesson plans and instructional plans to meet course competency.
• Setup classroom, lab, and other school equipment and supplies for students.
• Prepare course assignments, tests, projects to improve student’s academic performance
• Maintain students’ attendance and grade records and report same to Management.
• Evaluate each student’s academic performance and provide feedback appropriately.
• Ensure that students follow disciplinary and behavioral standards in the school campus.
• Provide support in student admission and retention processes.
• Assist in the mobilization and job placement of students

Qualification Required & Experience

• Minimum HND holder.
• Minimum of 5 years teaching and practical experience.
• Familiarity with state and local codes and standards
