The University of Western Australia (UWA) is pleased to announce the Global Excellence Scholarship, a prestigious award designed to attract and support outstanding international students worldwide. If you’re planning to begin your studies in Semester 1, 2025, you could qualify for a scholarship valued at up to AUD$48,000* for undergraduate programs or up to AUD$24,000* for postgraduate programs.

   

Scholarship Benefits

Undergraduate Programs: Eligible students may receive up to AUD$48,000* over four years or AUD$36,000* over three years, based on the length of their program and academic performance.
Postgraduate Programs: Successful candidates can benefit from up to AUD$24,000* over two years of study.

The final scholarship amount is determined by the applicant’s equivalent Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) or UWA Weighted Average Mark (WAM).

Scholarship Details

The Global Excellence Scholarship provides a yearly tuition fee reduction for the full-time duration of the recipient’s course, as specified in their offer letter.
Eligibility for this scholarship requires a minimum ATAR of 85.00 for undergraduate applicants or a WAM of 65.00 for postgraduate applicants. Students with exceptional academic records may qualify for larger awards.

Eligible candidates for combined degrees, such as Combined Bachelor’s and Combined Bachelor’s & Master’s programs, can receive up to AUD$60,000* over five years for specific programs like Engineering and Commerce.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Nationality: Open to international students from any country.
  • Admission Offer: Applicants must have received an offer to study an eligible undergraduate or postgraduate program at UWA, starting in Semester 1, 2025.
  • Program Requirements:
    • Undergraduate Applicants: Must apply for an eligible bachelor’s degree or Assured Pathway program (excluding Medicine and Dental Medicine).
    • Postgraduate Applicants: Must apply for an eligible coursework degree (excluding Juris Doctor, Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Dental Medicine, and Doctor of Optometry).

How to Apply?

No separate scholarship application is required. Once you apply for your preferred course and submit your final academic transcripts, the UWA Admissions team will automatically review your eligibility based on the ATAR/WAM requirements.
