About the Fulbright FLTA Program

Fulbright FLTA Program Eligibility

To be eligible for the Fulbright FLTA Program, candidates must:

  • Currently reside in the nominating country at the time of application.
  • Hold a minimum of a U.S. Bachelor’s degree equivalent, with a strong academic record; possession of a Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Be an early-career teacher of English, or in training to become one, or an educator in a related field, with prior teaching experience beneficial.
  • Demonstrate a genuine interest in teaching your native language and culture to U.S. students.
  • Exhibit proficiency in English, verified by recent scores of at least 550 on the Paper-Based TOEFL, 79-80 on the Internet-Based TOEFL (IBT), or 6.0 on the IELTS; submit your scores to IIE with the institutional code 2326.

Program Duration and Application Details
