🇲🇹 Fully Funded Islands and Small States Scholarships at the University of Malta – 2025 Intake

Nationals of Small Island Developing States (SIDS) can now apply for the University of Malta’s 2025 Islands and Small States Scholarships, funded by Malta’s Ministry for Foreign Affairs and Tourism. The awards cover either a taught-research master’s or a PhD, with all tuition costs waived and generous living and research allowances.

Who Can Apply?

  • Citizens of ODA-eligible SIDS (single nationality only; dual citizens of the EU/EEA or non-SIDS countries are ineligible).
  • Preference for applicants employed in public service or recognised NGOs.
  • Must hold unconditional admission to the University of Malta.
  • Proof of English (IELTS / TOEFL / equivalent) by 1 July 2025.
