What Is the Inspiring Excellence £10K Scholarship?

Durham University’s Inspiring Excellence Scholarship is a £10,000 tuition reduction available to international students starting select one-year taught Master’s programs in September 2025. To qualify for this scholarship, you must apply to one of the following seven one-year postgraduate courses:

  • MSc Advanced Computer Science (Artificial Intelligence) – Code: G5T709
  • MSc Law and Finance – Code: M1KK09
  • MSc Public Policy – Code: L2KB09
  • MSc Advanced Computer Science – Code: G5T609
  • MSc International Business – Code: N2PD09
  • MSc Islamic Finance – Code: N3KD09

Only applications to these specific programs will be considered for the scholarship.

Who Can Apply?

To be eligible for the Durham Inspiring Excellence £10K Scholarship, you must:

  • Be classified as an international student
  • Apply for the 2025/26 academic year
  • Receive a conditional or unconditional offer for one of the eligible programs
  • Be self-funded (not in receipt of any other scholarship or external sponsorship)
  • Meet or exceed the academic entry requirements for your selected course

Application Rounds and Deadlines

There are two rounds of selection, and you can only apply once. If you miss the first round, you’ll be automatically considered in the second round — as long as you meet the conditions below.

First Round:

  • Offer deadline: 4 May 2025
  • Scholarship application deadline: 30 April 2025 (midnight GMT)

Second Round:

  • Offer deadline: 8 June 2025
  • Scholarship application deadline: 8 June 2025 (midnight GMT)

Note: If you apply in the first round, there is no need to reapply in the second round.
