4.) Accountant, Payable Executive - Coordinator
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) was founded in 1957 by four nations: Egypt, Sudan, Ethiopia and South Africa. As the administrative body of the region, CAF manages competitions, offers technical and administrative training courses while actively fostering the promotion and practice of football. The Confederation organizes championships such as the Africa Cup of Nations (CAN or AFCON), the most popular competition. It maintains very close links with FIFA in coordinating tournaments for different events such as the World Cup, Youth and Women competitions and the Olympic Games Football Tournaments.

1.) Head of Accounting Operations
Location: Cairo, Egypt
Job Summary
- You believe you have the educational background and professional experience to contribute to restoring CAF’s reputation and elevate the organization to the highest international standards.
Responsibilities
- Ensure Timely payments of invoices as and when due.
- Facilitate timely invoicing to sponsors.
- Supervise and track the coordination of outstanding invoices.
- Provide KPIs for Accounts Payable and Receivables.
- Review and recommend improvement in payments and receivables processes.
- Provide leadership and direction to direct reports and effectively manage stakeholders and potential conflicts of interest.

Requirements (Profile)
- A minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting.
- Professional qualification in accounting (e.g. ESAA, CPA, ACCA, CIMA) or MBA (finance option) with a minimum of 5 years post qualification experience in leading Accounts payable team
- Minimum of 5 years of managerial experience in finance or accounting related areas.
- Hands-on experience in usage of Microsoft suite of applications.
- Demonstrable experience in vendor and staff payments and conflict management.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken); fluency in another official CAF language (French or Arabic) is an asset.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Stakeholder management and Influencing skills.
- Team Leadership skills and ability to motivate teammates.
- Ability to engage and interact with diverse stakeholders from different cultural backgrounds.
- Providing leadership and direction to the payables and receivables team.

2.) Management Accountant - Senior Manager
Location: Cairo, Egypt
Job Summary
- You believe you have the educational background and professional experience to contribute to restoring CAF’s reputation and elevating the organization to the highest international standards.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate the management reporting process for the support teams in the head office.
- Agree on budget assumptions and growth parameters with the finance director and the overall corporate plan on annual basis.
- Challenge budget proposals and provide guidance to other stakeholders for an appreciation of their budget numbers.
- Partner and collaborate with other stakeholders in the development of their annual budget and forecast projections.
- Provide training to stakeholders on budget projections and adoption of best management reporting practices in their local jurisdictions.
- Take a lead role in the delivery of monthly cost analytics to stakeholders and the Line Manager.
- Deliver any other roles required from the line manager.

Requirements (Profile)
- A minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting.

3.) Financial Accountant - Senior Manager
Location: Cairo, Egypt
Job Summary
- You believe you have the educational background and professional experience to contribute to restoring CAF’s reputation and elevate the organization to the highest international standards.
Responsibilities
- Accountable for the preparation of the financial report and making sure proper controls are incorporated, and that accounting information is accurately captured, classified, and recorded.
- Align the preparation of accounts to the available chart of accounts.
- Close collaboration with auditors for the audit and publication of annual accounts.
- Daily review of trial balance for accuracy and proper classification in line with accounting standards.
- Ensure efficient and effective controls are in place for the flowthrough of mappings into the general ledger.
- Manage and comply with local government reporting and IFRS requirements.
- Proactively support the Finance Director in engaging the Management on quarterly financial performance updates.
- Manage VAT and other tax-related issues for the organization.

4.) Accountant, Payable Executive - Coordinator
Location: Cairo, Egypt
Job Summary
- You believe you have the educational background and professional experience to contribute to restoring CAF’s reputation and elevate the organization to the highest international standards.
Responsibilities
- Directly involved in the processing of payments for staff and vendors.
- Provide support to the Finance Department by managing daily accounting tasks assigned by the line manager.
- Receive and stamp invoices from departments and proceed with the payments. (Transfers and Cheques)
- Prepare journal entries for accruals before Posting.
- Communicate and coordinate with departments to solve any issues concerning payments.
- Track payments to internal and external parties.
- Update financial data in databases to ensure that the information is accurate and immediately available when needed.
- Assist the Finance Department in the preparation of monthly/quarterly/yearly book close.
- Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary.
- Prepare daily transactions list and assist in reviewing expenses and payables.
- Support in the execution of any further task assigned by the line manager.

- A minimum of First Degree in Accounting / Commerce with at least 2 years of working experience managing vendor and staff payments.
- An MBA or part-qualified accountant (CPA/ACCA/ESSA/CIMA) will be a plus.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in finance or accounting related areas preferably in an international organization.
- Hands-on experience in usage of Microsoft suite of applications.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken); fluency in another official CAF language (French or Arabic) is an asset.
