The BI Presidential Scholarship offers financial assistance to high-achieving students accepted into any MSc program at BI Norwegian Business School, either at its Oslo or Bergen campuses.

For Norwegian and International Applicants (Residing in Norway)

The scholarship covers full tuition fees for up to two years, provided you maintain satisfactory academic performance throughout the course.

For Sivøk Program Students

If you’re a Sivøk student, the scholarship also covers full tuition fees for up to two years, subject to the same academic criteria.

For International Applicants (Non-Residents of Norway)

In addition to covering full tuition fees, the scholarship provides a stipend for living expenses, although this stipend is intended to cover approximately 70% of your living costs while studying in Norway.

Eligibility Criteria for the BI Presidential Scholarship 2025

To qualify for this prestigious scholarship, applicants must meet specific criteria:

Academic Excellence

A minimum GPA equivalent to an ‘A’ on the ECTS scale (or top-level grades in your country’s grading system) is required.

Sivøk Students

If you’re a 3rd-year student in the Sivøk program, you are eligible to apply for this scholarship.

Norwegian and International Applicants

You need to hold Norwegian, EU/EEA, or Swiss citizenship. International students residing in Norway from non-EU/EEA countries may also qualify based on their residency status.

Admission to BI Norwegian Business School

You must be admitted to one of BI’s MSc programs, excluding the BI-Luiss Joint Masters in Marketing program, to apply for the scholarship.

Applying for the BI Presidential Scholarship is straightforward, but you must follow these steps to ensure your application is complete:

Step 1: Simultaneous Admission and Scholarship Application

Write a one-page letter explaining why you deserve the scholarship. Keep in mind that the scholarship is awarded based on academic merit, not financial need.

Step 4: Special Instructions for Sivøk Students

Additional Consideration for International Applicants

International applicants are automatically considered for the MSc International Scholarship—you do not need to submit a separate letter for this.
