Job Vacancy at SFAN (Ghana) – Driver

JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking for a responsible and smart male driver for immediate employment at a building material and construction equipment warehouse.

Responsibilities:

• Transport finished goods and raw materials from the warehouse to clients.
• Occasionally drive top management staff for official errands.
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance.
• Ensure that all Warehouse operations are properly accounted for by complying with standard Warehousing principles, regulatory requirements, and Company procedures.
• Help to pick, pack, and/or check orders adequately.
• Prioritize and pick material to fill orders and stage products for loading.
• Assisting to verify all incoming and outgoing products for accuracy in terms of amount, size, and type; informing Management of the inventory and supply shortages, and assisting in actual periodic inventory counts.
• Install protective devices such as bracing, padding, or strapping to prevent shifting or damage to items being transported.
• Ensure that transport and logistics operations procedures are strictly adhered to. Be anti-bribery, health, safety, and environmentally conscious in the discharge of assigned duties.

Requirements:

• Proven work experience as a Truck Driver
• Ability to drive long hours
• Knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
• No recent moving or driving violations
• No criminal records
• Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc.)
• Willing to submit to background/drug checks and provide employment recommendations
• Valid truck driving license
• Not more than 45 years old.
