The Donald Li YDM Global Scholarship is your chance to attend the prestigious WONCA World Conference 2025 in Lisbon. Scholarship Benefits

Three (03) successful applicants will each receive a $2,500 USD bursary, covering:

  • Conference Registration Fees
  • Travel Costs
  • Visa Fees
  • Accommodation

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the Donald Li YDM Global Scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  1. Residency: Applicants must reside in a country classified as a low- or middle-income economy by the World Bank.
  2. Professional Status: Be a Young Doctor under YDM guidelines, currently in family medicine training or within the first five years of practice.
  3. Membership: Hold an active membership in their regional Young Doctor Movement (YDM) and provide a supporting letter from the regional YDM lead.
  4. Commitment: Showcase a strong commitment to attending the conference and advancing primary care and family medicine.

YDM Preconference 2025

Scholarship recipients will also have the privilege to attend the YDM Preconference 2025, happening on 16–17 September 2025, prior to the main WONCA World Conference. This preconference offers:

  • Interactive workshops
  • Thought-provoking lectures
  • Engaging social events

The theme, Future-proofing Family Medicine, focuses on fostering innovation and resilience in healthcare.

  2. A two-minute video introduction explaining how this scholarship will benefit you and your community.
