In order to better facilitate the public conversation, Twitter is seeking a Senior Partner Manager to be part of the Global Partners team.
The Global Partners team sits within the broader Global Marketing and Communications organization. We work with public figures and related partners across News, Sports and Entertainment in many markets around the world. We know that Twitter is an incredibly powerful platform for public figures to use their voices and express themselves. We help our partners connect with their audiences, tell their stories, and launch and sustain their careers by working with them to create content, leverage the latest products and features, and to support their overall experience on the platform.

Who You Are?
You have exceptional relationships across the Entertainment, Sports and News industries in Africa, starting with Ghana and Nigeria. You have your finger on the pulse of culture and conversation, and are passionate about the way Twitter shapes both. You understand that when partners use Twitter creatively, it tells a great story for both the partner and Twitter, and you are excited to dream up new and innovative ways to best accomplish this.
You should have a strong vision for the broad potential of public figures on Twitter, while being focused on scalable impact and immediate, tactical opportunities that result in value and growth for Twitter. You’ll need direct, hands-on experience across the industry and strong relationships with both traditional entities (agents, managers, publicists, etc.) and public figures themselves. You have superb talent and partner management skills, the power of persuasion, and an aptitude for driving innovation. You must be resourceful and comfortable working autonomously and asynchronously with a global team.
What You’ll Do?
Twitter’s Partners Team is looking for an ambitious, creative, passionate & resourceful individual to join us in building and managing partnerships with public figures and related partners across News, Sports, and Entertainment in Africa.
You will help drive culture through some of the biggest and most important voices on our platform. You will work with public figures and related partners across News, Sports, and Entertainment in Africa. You will identify, develop and maintain relationships with these partners and work with them to drive creative Twitter content activations that serve their goals while also delighting users and driving conversation on the platform.
You will proactively help your partners use Twitter to connect with their audience, leverage the latest Twitter products and features, and will be an internal advocate if/when they need support with our service.

This role specifically focuses on global markets that require cultural context and local customer insights.
You will help partners drive creative content activations on Twitter that serve their goals while also delighting users and driving conversation on the platform. The Partners team at large works across partners in news, entertainment and sports. This position will be based in Accra, Ghana.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact at Twitter for public figures and related partners across News, Sports & Entertainment in the Africa market
- Identify, develop and manage relationships with partners across these industries
- Help partners incorporate Twitter deeply into their social strategy and storytelling by embracing best practices and pushing the creative envelope
- Create original content with key partners to support their projects, and manage the content production process internally and externally, end-to-end
- Help partners leverage the best of Twitter by informing and educating them about new tools and features and in some cases, working with them to help launch new products in creative ways
- Serve as the primary point of contact for partners when they need support with our service, and advocate for them as needed internally with cross functional teams that support user services
- Coordinate with relevant internal teams across partnerships, sales, marketing / comms, product, legal, etc on joint efforts, partner communications and support
- Collaborate with internal partners to drive research, insights & analytics that convey the power of Twitter to partners, and help partners understand the impact of their use of the platform
- Champion partners internally, providing feedback on product and other parts of user experience
- Collaborate with Comms to amplify partners usage and in-market Twitter initiatives
- Represent Twitter at Industry Events
- Work cross-functionally with other teams to maximize partners’ relationship with Twitter (e.g. Business Development, Legal, Curation, Product , Partnership Solutions, Communications, Marketing, etc.)

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree (minimum requirement)
- 8-10+ years of partner facing experience in media, content, marketing and/or Business Development in Africa, starting with Ghana and Nigeria
- Deep understanding of market & cultural trends as well as key events across Africa, starting with Ghana and Nigeria
- Experience working with partners across News, Sports and Entertainment
- Deep relationships across all levels of management including C- level, and ability to establish new relationships
- Deep relationships with public figures themselves, and ability to establish new relationships
- Experience effectively and persuasively presenting complex concepts, processes and social media trainings/workshops to partners at all levels of management
- Demonstrated success working with cross-functional teams (product, engineering, legal, marketing, communications, finance, sales, etc.)
- Knowledge of mobile and internet products and technologies and experience working in startups or on highly ambitious & ambiguous zero-to-one projects.
- Passion for and familiarity with Twitter's products & service
- Fluency in English. Fluency in at least one local language in West Africa
