🇺🇸 $20,000 in Funding: SME Education Foundation Scholarship 2025

Applications are now open for the SME Education Foundation Scholarship 2025. For over 40 years, the SME Education Foundation has been dedicated to nurturing the next generation of manufacturing and engineering professionals.

   

The program awards millions of dollars in scholarships to high school seniors and college students pursuing associate or bachelor’s degrees in manufacturing, engineering, or related fields.

About the SME Education Foundation

The SME Education Foundation has established itself as a leader in supporting future industry leaders. With over 60 distinct scholarship programs, it offers both merit-based and need-based awards. Scholarships are available as one-time grants or renewable awards, encouraging applications from all eligible students, including young women and underrepresented communities.

Since 2005, the Foundation has distributed $18 million to more than 5,000 students, investing nearly $1 million annually in scholarships to help students succeed in STEM fields.

Scholarship Awards

  • Award Amounts: Scholarships range from $2,500 to $20,000.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the SME Education Foundation Scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Be a graduating high school senior or a current college student (associate’s or bachelor’s program).
  • Maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0.
  • Be pursuing an associate, bachelor’s, or graduate degree in manufacturing, engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Attend an accredited college or university in the United States or Canada.
  • Be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States or Canada, or hold a student visa.
  • Enroll as either a full-time or part-time student.

Application Process

Scholarship applications are accepted annually between November 1 and February 1. By submitting a single application, you’ll automatically be considered for all scholarships for which you qualify.
