Table of Contents

Job Responsibilities:

  • Grade various vegetable products.
  • Harvest vegetables manually.
  • Utilize hoes to manage crops.
  • Engage in the planting, cultivating, and irrigating of crops.
  • Remove stones and/or wood from fields.
  • Conduct culling activities for vegetables.
  • Maintain regular weeding.
  • Oversee crop harvesting.
  • Operate and upkeep farm machinery and equipment.
  • Ensure quality inspection of products and preparation for the market.
  • Sort, stack, bundle, and label materials.
  • Manage loading, unloading, and transportation of farm produce and supplies.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the work area.

Job Requirements:

  • Proficiency in English or French.
  • Formal education such as a bachelor’s degree, certificate, or diploma is not mandatory.
  • Previous experience will be considered a valuable asset.
  • Capacity to handle weights up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
  • Strong interpersonal skills and organizational ability.
  • A flexible, reliable, and ethical approach to work.
  • Ability to work well within a team.
  • Must be able to learn quickly and adapt to new tasks.

Work Site Environment:

  • Engage in various farm operations, including a mix of fruit and vegetable farming, organic practices, and specialized potato and vegetable cultivation.
  • Prepare for extensive outdoor labor hours.
  • Ability to work in various conditions including wet, dusty, extreme temperatures, and noisy environments.
  • Work in areas with strong odors.
