  • Living allowance: RM3200.00 per month for Ph.D. & RM2200.00 for Masters
  • Accommodation allowance: RM300.00 per month

Requirements for National University of Malaysia Masters/Ph.D Scholarships Qualification

  • For MSc applicants, candidates must have obtained Bachelor’s Degree with Distinction CGPA of at least 3.67 or a First Class Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent from a reputable university
  • For Ph.D. applicants, candidates must have obtained a Master’s degree or equivalent
    from a reputable university
  • . The application for these scholarships are open to all local and international prospective postgraduate students who have outstanding academic achievement records to further their studies in UKM.
  • Both scholarships applications are open to full time prospective postgraduate students who wish to register in full research or mixed modes (min research: coursework ratio 70:30).
  • Application is opened to new upcoming UKM students who have registered online.
  • Applicants must not receive any assistance/scholarships from any sponsor/ Federal/State or any other Statutory Bodies.
  • Applicants must not receive any salary or allowance or other payment from any institution or company.
  • Selected scholarship recipients must maintain high quality of performance throughout postgraduate studies. If the recipient does not meet the prescribed Key Performance Index (KPI) then the granting of scholarship may be terminated or any other decision as determined by the selection committee.




Documents Required for Application

  •  Master’s KPI: Published one (1) article in journal Q3 and above as first student author.
  •  Doctor of Philosophy’s KPI: Published two (2) articles in journal Q3 and above as first student author
