1.) Strategy & PMO Executive
Location: Lagos, Nigeria

About the Job
The Role Will Essentially:
- Provide administrative, strategic assistance and financial analysis support to the Executive in all business related matters – including preparation for various reviews, external speaking assignments etc.
- Plan, coordinate & minute the strategic reviews and meetings and update the Executive on status of various initiatives to ensure that deployments & implementations take place as per the plan.
- Work with the Executive Council Members to proactively prepare for the reviews
- Lead identified strategic projects as a program manager (design, project manage and follow up)
- Engage with external bodies and knowledge forums across Nigeria - Identify suitable external forums for representation by Airtel to build and strengthen the Airtel brand in Nigeria
Responsibilities
Strategy & Financial Planning:
- Provide input as required and implement the strategy on specific projects and initiatives. May also be required to perform a supportive role in different phases of the strategy development.
- Assist in the creation of strategies and financial plans in close coordination with Nigeria Executive Council Members
Strategic Support:
- Support decision making abilities of the Executive by conducting detailed analysis on key strategic issues.
- Organize briefing materials and logistics for workshops or presentations
- Prepare and run the agenda and content for strategic business meetings, conferences and forums.
Administrative Support:
- General office support to include minute taking, monthly reporting, preparing presentation materials, dealing with telephone enquiries, filing and general correspondence.
- Develop and maintain records and information systems in accordance with office policy and procedures.
- Prioritizing all incoming mail and ensuring necessary actions are taken
- Assist in organizing and maintaining systems for the storage and
- retrieval of information.
- Provide an effective interface between the Executive’s guests and other members of the company.

Programme Management:
- Plan, coordinate & minute the strategic reviews & meetings and update the Executive on status of various initiatives to ensure implementations and deployments as per plan.
- Review and monitor various key programs to ensure consistency with defined objectives
Support / Networking with Internal / External Stakeholders:
- Act as Opco SPOC for Group initiatives
- Support the CEO’s engagement with external stakeholders – Regulators, Suppliers, Partners including corporate gifting initiatives
- Coordinate with senior leadership in Nigeria and Nairobi for key data and information exchange and report preparation
Skills & Knowledge
- A Degree in a Quantitative Degree, Economics, Accounting or the Social Sciences.
- An MBA or Masters’ Degree from a recognized institution.
- Minimum 12 years work experience, preferably 5 years in telecoms, business planning or financial services
- Financially savvy

2.) Passive & Active Partner Governance Engineer
Location: Lagos, Nigeria

About the Job
- Responsible for Passive & Active Partner Governance, follow up on major escalated failures until resolution, Control the implementation of all job orders that take place within the network, generate daily reports of failures exceeding defined KPI, and follow through on all customer complaints
Key Accountabilities
Operations:
- Validation/Auditing the processes and procedures across strategic partner operations
- Track SLA with strategic and non-Strategic partners to ensure compliance and impose penalty where applicable.
- Supervise software roll-out after first node implementation
- Audit Network configuration to ensure that all the nodes are running with latest software.
- Supervise and conduct acceptance test for all the new nodes to be integrated to the network.
- Leading/Guiding the MS team during hardware and software change implementation.
- Effective Management of Spare Process within the operations in order to ensure sustained network KPIs.
- Supervise all special events projects like improvement drives, festival target optimization (Charismas, EID & New Year etc), Bombed/burnt sites restoration.
- Project manages MS transition.
- Provide support for all RAN related issue coming from customer, CSD.
- Provide technical governance with MS partners.
- Follow up on the reported problem.
- Ensure that all the services providers strictly follow the SLA and report any deviation.
- All network changes/configuration are documented and follow through.
- Provide regular update on the state of the network
- Sign off of all network outages
- Prepare and manage the annual operating plans OPEX (AOPs) for all the active and passive network systems in Airtel Nigeria( Financial)
- Prepare Annual Operating Plan compilation for active requirement for Airtel Nigeria Networks
- Prepare annual budget for additional spares base on network dimension
Reporting:
- Provide Emergency/Monthly/weekly network reports
- Measure KPIs of the Networks and report variance
Supervision:
- Monitor Network node availability
- Ensure adherence to SLA where necessary to ensure Airtel interest is not jeopardize at all times.
Skills & Knowledge
- Bachelor's Degree or HND in Engineering or any related applied science field.
- At least 5 years Networks Operational experience in GSM environment.
- Technical knowledge on Network Elements (Switching Systems, RAN, MPBN and SIGTRAN)

- Vast experience with Virtual solutions and underlying cloud infrastructure
- Good understanding of transmission domain (Fiber and Microwave) functions and how it works with IP/MPLS network to deliver E2E services.
- Experience with Ericsson PS core will be an added advantage
- Experience in interpreting and analyzing network KPI ‘key performance indicators’
- Good understanding of Data Analytics solution and their use in resolving network and customer issues.

4.) Manager, MPBN Planning
Location: Lagos, Nigeria

About the Job
- This function is expected to act as the representative for business, technical and functional requirements in IP Packet backbone solutions to support both Mobile and Enterprise services.
- The function will define the optimal topology of the IP core network to meet a premium service level agreements and industry architecture for next generation IP networks;
- To evaluate network design and define integrated planning/implementation criteria and guidelines with partners for capacity management and dimensioning of the IP core network;
- Also would evaluate delivery of IP projects to designed SLAs whilst exploring the most efficient ways to deliver any new functional requirements placed upon the 2G/3G/LTE Mobile Network which includes but not limited to voice, data and other services.
Responsibilities
- MPBN Core Planning and Architecture design to ensure Uninterrupted voice and data service delivery
- Ensure that the project related documentation reflects a fit-for-purpose design and compiles with the contractual vendor requirements.
- On concept of solutions proffered and prior to implementation, documentation in the form of SD, HLD and LLD designs should be prepared to include technical functionality, platform design and platform integration with relevant network elements.
- Update all IP Core documentation and topology to reflect running solution.
- Manage IP Network addressing and allocation for entire network including Access (IPRAN)
- Perform adequate dimensioning, of all IP nodes, interfaces - in accordance with network growth and projections.
- Handshake with transmission on Submarine/fiber capacity required to support projected MPBN core and Edge interface capacity
- Continuously monitor network traffic, trends and various parameters to ensure Network elements have required capacity to cater for projected traffic growth with enough headroom for resilience purpose. Where required, take corrective action with input from Operations and performance teams.

- Detailed understanding of IP Routing and switching, and its interrelation with supported domains; a working knowledge of other connecting domains like Transmission and Service Nodes.

- Experience in deployment of key network systems through the delivery life cycle from initial design to full operational handover

5.) Network Security Engineer
Location: Lagos, Nigeria

Job Purpose
- The role will be charged with providing support to the Head, Network Security in ensuring Network Security in line with the Airtel Africa Information System Policy (AAISP) relating to Networks.
Responsibilities
Ensure Compliance to Airtel Africa Information Security Policy (AAISP) as relates to Network:
- Implementation, Compliance and Controls of Networks relating to AAISP and ISO standards
Partner Management:
- To work with Network Managed Services partners to ensure their compliance to AAISP in regard to Airtel Business
Periodic audit of Network processes:
- To work with all units in Network to ensure readiness of the team at all times to external and internal audit queries
Deployment and maintenance of security operations systems:
- To work with MPBN and IT SNOC to ensure assurance of their firewall rules
- To work with Network Managed Service partner and Airtel internal team to ensure basic hardening standards per industry best practise is implemented across all systems
- To work with Network Managed Service partners to carry out vulnerability scans and remediation of vulnerabilities before go live.
Security of Physical Asset:
- Airtel network physical assets at MSC locations and data centres, working through Facilities of SCM
- Physical cabling and device security within the core nodes working with MS partners and Networks Core team
- Physical security of assets at sites, working through Operations team and Tower co-partners
Qualifications, Skills & Knowledge
- Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Telecom or Electronics or equivalent
- Certification in Security will be an advantage e.g. CISSP, CISM, OSCP
- A minimum of 7 years or more of work experience in the Telecoms environment
- Must understand telecom NMS and OSS
- Should have experience in GSM, WCDMA and LTE domains through telecom experience.
- Should understand Telecom billing and Revenue assurance activities
- Strong capabilities in Unix operating systems and programming languages e.g. Python, C++
