Types of State University of Alabama Undergraduate Scholarships

2023 International UA Competitive Admissions Scholarship: Eligible Applicants should have an exceptional academic track record. In addition, leadership experience, volunteering experience, extracurricular activities, employment history, and non-academic awards are also considered for this Scholarship, valued up to $6000.

2023 International Freshman Automatic Merit Scholarships:

PRESIDENTIAL ELITE: Candidates with a 4.0+ GPA and a score of 36 ACT OR 1600 SAT will be chosen automatically for the Presidential Elite Scholar.

The benefits of this Scholarship include:

  • Complete Tuition fee waiver for eligible undergraduate courses as well as graduate or law studies.
  • Accommodation provisions.
  • $1,000 per year additional scholarship for four years.
  • $2,000 one-time allowance for Research and $500 each year Supe Store book scholarship for four years.

National Merit Scholarship: This Scholarship is open to international students who have submitted their applications and all supporting documents, including a copy of their official National Merit Finalist letter, via email to scholarships@ua.edu.
